Emma Carroll
Northern Ireland SiTT Co-Coordinator
Emma developed an interest in mindfulness while completing her clinical training in Bangor University, having had the opportunity to attend an 8 week introductory programme with the Bangor CMRP.
She works as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist for Staff Wellbeing within Health and Social Care services and has been offering mindfulness based approaches to staff for almost ten years.
This has included running MBCT, MBSR programmes, Finding peace in a frantic world, taster sessions, blended programmes and drop in sessions.
She has trained as a mindfulness teacher with The mindfulness Network and continues to work within Good Practice Guidelines. She is registered with the British Association of Mindfulness Based Approaches.
Having recently become a parent, and returning to work, Emma is developing a new found appreciation for the resource that a mindfulness practice can give. She benefits from having others around who are also committed to developing mindfulness support networks.
Within the Northern Ireland SITT group, we host a space for teachers of mindfulness, supporting connections and opportunities for learning to resource ourselves and others.
Emma Carroll and Michele Kavanagh share the running of the Northern Ireland SiTT Group.
